Tartuffe rehearsals have commenced

Tartuffe rehearsals began last week and already it's hysterical. Did you know that is a contemporary adaptation? Yep, and we threw in a couple fun anachronisms just for the hilarity of it.

Preston steps into the role of Dorine and enters with luggage so that he might divine where the comedy lay while Rosie McGuire (who really plays Dorine) looks on at right.

Katy Sink playing Mariane and Krista Hoeppner playing Elmire look on as Preston gives direction.

Jason Scott Quinn gesticulates while playing Loyale.

Asha, the assistant director.

Everyone ponders the potential of funny.

Ready to enter are Chris Morris, Josh Yoder, Krista Hoeppner, and T.J. Austin.

Here we see the bigger picture with the stage managers: Eric, Marybeth, and Sam. Beneath the map of Paris is Katy. Costume renderings and research bedeck the rest of the wall.

Who are they all bowing to?

Gordon Weiss, who is playing Tartuffe, inspects the model of the set during rehearsal.

Rosie, Asha, and Gordon.

Here's Preston--blurry, but still grandiose.
